StoryToys on Campus for Design Clonmel #clonmeldigital
10/17/2019
Fiona Curran, Art Team Manager from StoryToys, visits the Clonmel Digital Campus in the middle of Design Clonmel. She will provide insights to the award-winning apps created by Storytoys for its audience of more than 12 million young people. Storytoys works with renowned entertainment properties such as Eric Carle, DC Comics, Disney and Sesame Workshop.
As part of their summer work experience periods, several third year animation students have worked with the StoryToys team while collaborating across a number of roles.
Practical assessments in the animation and game art design degree programmes involve clean, efficient and optimized code to better optimise computer memory. Specifics such as frame rates, garbage collection, and maintainability take on greater meaning as they move from academic projects to commercially available applications.
Fiona Curran can explain the convergence of art and app design during a series of talks she will deliver on the Clonmel Digital Campus.
You need to register to get into the public session in Clonmel but if you're a student on campus, you can join a more intimate setting in Room 107 at 2 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.
